"Seasons of Love" Where did I leave off? * The Full Monty was fucking hilarious. Really. I barely stopped laughing the whole time. The cast looked like they were having a blast, and that made the show great. *Friday night one of my students babysat and we went to see The Da Vinci Code. It was OK. It lacked the suspense that the book had. I can't decide if it's because I knew the story already or if it's because it didn't translate well into a movie. At any rate, it was wonderful to get out to a movie and dinner. The boys were absolute terrors before we walked out the door, but instantly became angels when we left. They absolutely love the student that babysat, so we'll definitely be sending more business that way! :) *Saturday we went to San Francisco and attended a book reading/signing by Anthony Rapp. Jared was too shy to talk to him, but Bailey posed for a picture. I also took a video of Anthony singing Seasons of Love. Both are on MySpace... . Afterwards we grabbed some dinner and then took the kids to the park. They needed some running around time! *Sunday. Hmmm...it rained. I did get the kids out to the park for a bit before the rain. Mostly I spend the day grading papers and pretending to study. It was one of those quiet days. *Monday was Bailey's last day for his parks and rec ice skating class (videos of this also on MySpace). It was "bring a friend day" and I was his friend. I was great for about 28 of the 30 minutes. I can still spin and skate backwards. It was a blast. Then I fell on my ass. Hard. I have a seriously bruised tailbone now. OUCH! *Tuesday I actually did some studying. Not much, but some. I also took the boys to play in the fountain at the park. *Yesterday was midterm #2. I'm not sure how I did. Probably a low A, but really, it depends. There was a group of questions that I guessed on. If I guessed correctly, then it could be higher. If I blew all of them, well, I don't want to think about that. :( Also, just to add excitement to yesterday, Jared joined me at work. He was OK. Not perfect, but acceptable for a 4 year old. He did "grade" some papers by putting stickers on them. There are some papers that ended up with a lot of stickers, and some that only got one. Random child! That's it. Another installment in the exciting life of a mommy/middle school science teacher/wife/student... 1 comments Listening to: the AC Reading: Undercurrents by Ridley Pearson Eating/drinking: Starbucks (of course) Do what to me?!? - April 24, 2007 Wicked funny websearch - April 05, 2007 Trot out the dogs 'n ponies - March 31, 2007 Almost done... - March 20, 2007 Who am I? - March 12, 2007 READ ME |
