Someone let a Trojan in my backdoor... Get your mind out of the gutter people! Trojan as in evil computer virus that hijacks my windows, gives me thousands of pop-ups, and makes my life miserable. There are several in there, with names such as Trojan.backdoor and Hijaker.Trojan. And I cant get them out! The entire thing has made me crazy. I am most definitely not computer illiterate, so being unable to remove it has me beyond frustrated. I suppose, though, its only appropriate that the laptop go back to school infected since it arrived from IT infected. The good news is that I am typing this on my brand-spankin new laptop. This one is mine forever and ever, or at least until it becomes obsolete. The desktop PC upstairs is getting old. It has been in our family longer than Jared. Eventually, probably quite soon actually, it wont be worth fixing. So, that will now be mostly for the kids to play their games and this will be mostly mine. I say mostly because while it is the family computer, I will be the one who uses it the majority of the time. Ryan has a laptop for work. It also has wireless, although I have to get back into it and reconfigure the connection (techie geek that I am) so that he can use it at home. And, now that Ive spent 24 hours on virus clean up and moving files, I am more than ready to dig into the scrapbook supplies and get to work. This whole Trojan fiasco came about because I was trying to find clip art of a fortune cookie so that I could finally complete a scrapbook page that I started back in January. I went to some awful clip art site and stuff just started downloading to my computer. UGH! At least I got some clip art before I hit that site. So, Im going to print it out and get moving on the scrapping. Well, after I take a shower and make the necessary Starbucks run, that is! 0 comments Listening to: Reading: Eating/drinking: Do what to me?!? - April 24, 2007 Wicked funny websearch - April 05, 2007 Trot out the dogs 'n ponies - March 31, 2007 Almost done... - March 20, 2007 Who am I? - March 12, 2007 READ ME |
